Half-hourly metering milestone reached

A significant milestone has been achieved on the move to half-hourly metering.

Elexon said 50% of industry meter point administration numbers (MPANs) had now migrated to the new arrangements. 

It said it also expects to see a surge in suppliers migrating over the coming months,

“Momentum continues to build across the industry with all Suppliers who are actively migrating making excellent progress,” it said.

It added that the progress moves GB closer a smarter, more flexible and lower-carbon electricity system.
