The measures include plans to make half-hourly data available in 2026 through a Smart Data Repository.
Market facilitator Elexon said around 80% of meters will be migrated to half hourly settlement by October 2026 and it will make data from those meters publicly available.
Peter Stanley, Elexon’s chief executive said access to the data would help suppliers develop “next-generation” flexibility tariffs.
“Achieving a five-fold increase in consumer-led flexibility provision in five years will only be possible if we work quickly and collaboratively with other organisations. The next few years are critical,” he said.
